5The best app for the Xbox 360, period.  Mar 27, 2008 By Stephen McKenna
What can I really say. It's a rechargeable pack for my wireless controller. I never have to buy batteries for at least a year or two (assuming normal rechargeable life) and I can charge while I play, or when I want to keep my Xbox 360 off I can just charge it in my laptop's USB input. Very useful to have, everyone should have at least one of these.

4Just a Review  Oct 01, 2008 By John
I had no problems, thus far, with this product. It's not the main Xbox 360 rechargeable battery pack, but it is suffice. The only, nitpicky, thing that I noticed is the color difference between the battery pack case and the controller. The battery pack was a darker white than the controller, it's a noticeable contrast offset but it's not something I would be irate over. As far as the overall charge the battery pack holds, it's lasted me a good amount of time. I have yet to really sit down for a day and play a role playing game that takes up a lot of time, not World of Warcraft amount of time, to see how long the charge lasts before its drained. The charge cord is USB and roughly a foot or two long, not an antiquate length to try and play while connected to a USB port either on your computer or Xbox 360. Plus, I haven't tried playing while the charger is connected... I don't know if that may or may not adversely affect the pack. Overall it's a satisfactory product, but a great product if you're sick of buying new batteries all the time.

5Durable and Reliable  Jun 16, 2009 By F. Tanvir "<<MasterMind>>"
It is simple to plug in and charge. After using it for an entire year, the battery life has not faded as much as i expected it too. I have also tried to play while simultaneously charging the battery...and it works great. Just follow the instructions about leaving it to charge for about eight hours and not repeadetly undercharging it, and you will get the same results i got.

2I stopped using it  Mar 06, 2012 By Mistiso
I got this thinking that it would work with any charge cable. It does not, it only works with the cheap cable that you get with it. The cable plugs into the black part shown in the picture.

I was very disappointed with the cable and also disappointed that it did not work with normal 360 play n' charge cables. When the cable broke (which only took a few weeks) I couldn't use the battery anymore and had no way to charge it. I would not buy this again.

4Good for the price  Jan 27, 2012 By Max
This is an alternative to the play and charge kit. I had an official play and charge kit a few years ago and it broke rather fast. I have been using batteries ever since. This item here has changed that. Although it does not hold a very long charge, it works if you plug it in while playing. It will work up to a few hours if it is charged up, but it does not hold a charge very well. If you're looking to stop wasting batteries and do not mind playing while it is plugged in, this is the item for you. And let me note that the length of the cord to the battery is not very long; it's probably a little more than four feet. So it is not idle for anyone who will be sitting far away from their console.

It does not have the same problem as the play and charge kit. The wire plugs directly into the battery pack, not the top of the controller, so I doubt it will break.
