 Beware: it's SIX foot instead of TEN foot long! Nov 19, 2010

The good: It's cheap and it works.
The bad: Don't be fooled by the product description or the pic. It's only 6-foot instead of 10-foot. it's dark grey instead of white (which is minor but for those who cares about color, it could be an issue).
The only reason I bought this item was its length. A 10-foot long cable would allow me to sit in my couch and play games. Although the length, 10-foot, is clearly indicated in the product description, what I actually received was a 6-foot long cable, and I had to buy a USB extension cable for it. I contacted the seller and only got told that it's a listing error. But the last time I checked this page, it still says 10-foot. So if you're thinking about buying this one for its length, think twice. The one you actually get might be different from the one you see here.

Product was exactly as described, all white 10 feet long (yes i measured) and works perfectly just like a microsoft power charge cord. Great for playing far from your xbox 360.

I went through 2-3 recharge cords before purchasing this one a few weeks back. It's great, nice long cord, with a solid connection on both ends, and a cool little red and green light when charging or in use. It's also pretty durable so far, but the best part about this recharge cord is its length, can stretch about 10'.

If you are tired of changing out AA's on your Xbox controller, this is the cable for you! For about the price of 5 disposable battery changes, you can get this power cable and never have to stop. (We did not try to see if it works recharging a battery pack.)
The first unit we got failed after 3-4 days with a short in the cable near the controller end. This caused the Xbox to red-light, since it shorted out the power supply to the USB port, drawing too much power. This was verified in a PC USB hub (where it caused the status light for that port to go out when the short occured), and also with an ohm-meter. By moving the cable around, the short could be made to occur or not. There was no physical damage evident on the cable jacket itself.
Amazon replaced the unit using the on-line RMA, and we received the replacement basically the next day. We returned the defective unit with the pre-paid postage label.
Amazon Service: 5 Stars
Xbox Power Cable: 3 Stars for possible low quality. (It could have been a one-time thing...)

Good:
As long as you're plugged in, you will never have to worry about powering your 360 controller.
Bad:
This cable never charged my 360 controller batteries. Either it becomes defective really quickly, or that part of the product never worked.
UPDATE:
The cables are fine. The problem is with the Xbox 360 itself. Over time the Xbox 360's USB ports just loosen and stop functioning properly. Surprisingly I didn't continually plug in and take out these USB cables, I kept them there the whole time without tugging at it, but the 360 USB ports still decide to fail. I wonder how the quality is for the latest iteration of Xbox 360's?
