Looks great, but not perfect Mar 08, 2010

The chrome seems to be holding up reasonably well so far after about a week's worth of moderate use. The kit comes with a front and back panel, honestly the controller probably looks best with either just the front OR back being chrome, while the other white or black. (Also means the kit will outfit 2 controllers).
Installation is honestly a bit tricky, the front is not threaded (i.e. you'll thread it yourself when screwing it in) so you'll have to push pretty hard to get a good seal when tightening screws. The D-PAD is crappy on the default 360 controllers, and in the shell it feels even looser. Fortunately few games make heavy use of the d-pad.
When it comes to looks - it is very, very good. One of the few products where the promo image actually looks exactly like the final product. If you're willing to tinker with the shell a bit to get it on properly, you should be happy with the result.

Great product, exactly what I wanted with a perfect mold of the two faceplates.
Only downside is that the paint takes on smudges extremely easily...that chrome look was simply a rough looking blue by the end of the day the first time I installed the faceplates.
