PC compatable with a few tweaks Jun 06, 2011
By JG2007 I picked up a pair of these headphones at a local gaming convention. I did not get them for use with the XBOX 360, but rather with my PC for playing games. Hookup was very simple, I plugged the provided cord into my sound card optical out and hooked that up to the digital decoder, plugged in the AC adapter and the headset and was set to go. The only issue I encountered is that the microphone plug is made for the 360 and not the PC and therefore is not the standard size. This is not an issue worth complaining about however, since I am using the headset for something other then what it was originally designed for.
These headphones feel very sturdy and well made. The design is simple but slick and attractive.
Sound quality is fantastic with these headphones. I noticed sounds I had never heard before when playing WoW. You can hear the birds sing, sheep bleating and the distant ringing of a bell, presumably coming from the cathedral in Stormwind. With the headphones on, you really do get a sense of depth from the sound. The surround sound effect is very well done.
Overall, as far as PC use I would highly recommend this headset. It will require that you have an optical out, and if you wish to use the microphone, you will need to purchase a separate adapter, which can easily be found for less then $5.

By Rawr McGiggles Honestly xxfr057xx is pretty off with is review.
The game sound is pretty good when set up correctly. Chances are he had his set wrong. The Voice Chat on Xbox Live does sound abit worse then basic headsets, but nothing major, over all the sounds from the game are 4/5 and voice chat is 3/5.
It barley feels like your wearing them which is nice, but when using it on Xbox Live you have to put 2 AAA batteries in a case in the middle of the wire, which either tugs on the left side of your head or pulls the wire out of the controller alot. Comfort is 3.5/5.
Durability wise, these don't feel anything like the plastic on turtle beaches. The plastic on this can bend abit more and is abit weighs abit less, only way you'd break them is if you purposely throw them.
You do have to make sure to set the Audio settings correctly when using these. it tells you how to do it in the instructions.
All in all it's a decent headset, not as good as Tritons, Turtle Beaches, or Astros, but not as bad as xxfr057xx makes them out to be. He sounds like some enraged gamer who just doesn't know how to set up the audio correctly.
I used them in a tournament and won a set and they worked well for me.
All in all, Vibras are a 4/5. There are better headsets for the price, but these aren't that bad. And that's coming from someone who currently has Astros, Turtle Beaches, Tritons, and Vibras.
Worst headset, hands down Mar 02, 2012
By xxfr057xx audio quality- 1/10...they sound like dollar general headphones. Not being sarcastic. The description boasts a 5.1 surround sound experience. They don't come close.
durability- 3/10...they feel like the plastic that turtle beaches are made with. Although these feel easier to break.
comfort- 1/10...The ear cups are small and uncomfortable. My ears feel pinched and the adjustable part doesn't go so far. I only used these because it was mandatory in an annual gaming convention to use the sponsors headsets. They feel like they were designed to fit the heads of 10 year olds.
The only people this headset impress are small children and people who haven't experienced other headsets. I'm glad I never wasted money on these. I've had turtle beaches, tried trittons, and now own a pair of astro a40s. This headset should not be $200. $40 at most. DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY ON THIS HEADSET. Trust me, I'm doing you a favor. Use the $200 on another headset.
