 Cools better and very quiet Jun 09, 2007

I was impressed with my son's 360 talismoon fan, I bought one for mine as well. It's definitley much more quiet than the stock fan. It also seems to blow out hotter air which probably means more of it goes out now. I'd recommend this one to everyone who has a 360. Although you have to break your warranty though cause you're going to open your machine to install this.

Preventing the RROD Dec 09, 2009

I purchased this fan for just that reason, preventing the RROD. Now that i'm on to
my fifth xbox 360 I figured i might as well do something Microsoft isn't. First off
i removed the x-clamps holding down the heatsinks, applied some new thermal paste
and actually bolted the heatsinks down, then i put this fan in. For me, this is a
lot louder now but not enough to make me unhappy with the purchase. I was a little
worried about liking the blue led's but i think they are very cool and not over
barring. The plastic seems a little brittle but since i don't plan on moving them ever I'm not really worried. These fans pull some serious air out! The rear of the box is hot because that's where all the air is coming out, everywhere else on the xbox is literally cold to the touch, it pulls out that much air! Overall very happy with the purchase and would suggest it to anyone who knows their way around this kind of stuff and feels comfortable.

This fan really is quiet. It actually makes less noise then the stock fan. You can also see a difference in the xbox temp even after hours of play.

Must have for RROD or custom 360s Aug 03, 2010

These fans are so cool. The blue glow is not super bright but enough to see in the dark. they really blow out lots of hot air and help keep the temperatures down. I took off 1 star b/c these are still kinda loud for me. They are definitely quieter than the stock fans however. IF you want a cooler 360 get this product, it will improve cooling and prevent overheating. I had RROD and got this on impulse, the stock fans were too slow. This has an adapter for newer 360's too.

Bought this fan for my sons Xbox. Took us about 20 miniutes or so to get game open, and needed to buy one small tool.
That being said, so far so good. My son plays is xbox for hours on end during the weekends and other non school days.
He likes that the blue light from the fan can be seen through his xbox.
This was a much cheaper fix than paying the $100 xbox wanted to fix this problem. And not to difficult. Found directions for
how to take system apart on line. Once we got past the fear of breaking something it was fairly easy.
So, if your past the warranty on your system this is a great fix. Much cheaper than sending it in to xbox or buying a new system.
