 Rock Band Bass Pedal review Oct 25, 2009

My son plays the rock band game on the xbox live quite alot. The pedal that comes with the set isn't sturdy enough to withstand someone who plays a "heavy" bass drum. After playing with the xbox drum pedal for less than a year, he cracked it. This replacement pedal was perfect.

this pedal is very easy to kick and works perfectly. i am currently using it as a second pedal and it is very easy to keep your foot pressed down between notes. BIG improvement over the rock band 1 pedal. (my friend has one: it is terrible compared to this one)

Received pedal in timely fashion. Pedal only works when the drummer is not as advanced. The pedal worked fine for me, but my friend who is an expert on rock band couldn't do any double taps. Seems that it could handle beats that were slower, but if the beats were too fast, the pedal couldn't register the separate hits.

The drum pedal arrived as described and promised and within the estimated delivery time. The pedal works great and I am heavy on the pedal. I use it for RB2 on the Wii. The only negative I can say about this item was the packaging was nothing more then the pedal in a plastic retail bag inside of a cardboard box. There was zero internal packaging to protect the item in shipping however mine arrived in un-damaged condition. For the cost I would recommend this item and seller if you need a new drum pedal. I also plan to re-enforce my pedal with a hard cover and hopefully avoid breaking this one at the hinge like I did the original pedal.

When I got this pedal in the mail, I was glad to see that the common breaking area (The hinge area) was much more reinforced than my last pedal - HOWEVER, When I plugged this pedal into my drums, there was some serious lag and this pedal has some obvious problems when trying to keep up with a beat on Both Rock Band 2 and Rock Band 3; whether this is a internal problem or something else, I wouldn't know - but what is clear is that my last pedal for my drum set was much more reliable than this pedal; especially with a $60 price tag. I doubt this pedal will break easily, but with the constant need to "Slam" my foot down on the pedal just to keep up with a faster beat will probably end in this pedal breaking like my last one - I'll have to think twice before investing again.
