Exactly what I needed. Jul 05, 2010
By bobbleheadgeorge Bottom line. If you find that you have to pund the heck out of the cymbal in order to get it to register in the game, than this is what you need.
I was glad to see that my drumming frustration was resolved with such an inexpensive alternative.

It works fine Sep 14, 2009

"Finding my way"
The factory cymbal went bad on our set. Replaced it with this one and it's held up fine.

Poorely made cymbals, Great replacement. Jul 01, 2009
By S. Mitchell My cymbal randomly stopped working during my rocking out on GH, so I took it apart and attempted to fix my broken cymbal. I did everything possible but the cymbal was just shot. So whoever makes these cymbals, they're just not the best quality, after lots of use they are just bound to break. This replacement was perfect and arrived as soon as it could. If it stops working again, I'll just have to buy another replacement.

Excellent replacement Mar 24, 2009
By David Dicarlo Bought this replacement symbol, because I banged on the original too hard and it broke. The replacement is wonderful, and has taken quite a beating.

Cheap product Apr 07, 2009
By Brandon S. The fact of the matter is, these cymbals are not designed to take the expert play mode for a month or more. They crack under the stress very quickly and notes stop registering; eventually the whole thing dies. Then you, the consumer, are left with a drum set that only has half functionality and can't really be used for the game.
I have never seen a part like a cymbal or kick pedal sold on Amazon. Does the company expect you to dish out $100 for the whole standalone drum set every time their product becomes defective? Is there ever going to be a point where RedOctane realizes the problems with their products and makes an honest and respectable decision to give people either a free replacement for their defective products or a refund?
There are a lot of people with drum problems and they're sitting there with an extremely expensive paperweight. RedOctane is making little to no effort to fix this problem.
