Ok lets get this out of the way right now, the only problem is its a pretty cheap headset, seems pretty flimsy to me and the cord is so small it seems really easy to break it. But if your like me and you take really good care of your stuff none of that should be a problem. the speaker sounds great as well as the mic. this is the best bang for your buck if your lookin for something cheap!

I priced headsets at the large chain stores and smaller gaming stores and decided to use amazon.com because of the savings. I saved between $15 to $23 on the basic headset and mic I purchased. I've had the product now for a month or so and it's working great. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I ordered these headsets because the pictures showed that they have the old style connection where the mute and volume controls are on the connector that plugs into the controller. The headsets I received were totally different and appear to be OEM Microsoft headsets. These are the newer model where the mute and volume controls are on a small nub that is just part of the wire and dangles at about chest height when you are wearing the headset.
So if you are like me and like the old style connector with mute & volume control, don't order these headsets. I really wish that they had shipped what the pictures represented. I'm leaving a low rating not on the product but on the misrepresentation of product sold.
