Great Family Game Jul 01, 2009
By Spencer Scott This is a decent conversion from the classic board game of Battleship. Controls are easy to pickup and use, and it's a great game for families or kids.

This is the Battleship we've all played but on the Xbox. I've played this game, and versions of it, for years on several systems. This version is the best so far because of the new game modes.
There is a mode that allow for several bombs to be used in each turn (allowance goes down as you lose boats) allowing for a new level of strategy, and there is a super mode that gives you power ups that do things like attack a section of the map or strafe the whole row. Sure, it's the same game but the new modes make it fun again.
$10 is a little pricy for these Hasbro games (in the stores they are $10 regular price), but sometimes they go on sale. I got all these games for $5 during a Xbox Live discount of the week promotion. If the price comes down or you are really craving some Battleship then jump on it. This is a good game.
