Pad works, but install instructions would be nice Jul 10, 2010
By princemuchao Got my replacement red pad today because new drum sets are so outrageously expensive.
I was disappointed at first because the base of the pad does not come with it (and neither do instructions), so I thought I was supposed to pry off the red drum pad and pop the new one on. NO!
You have to unscrew the back of the drum kit, pop three big rubber pieces through, hook the pad to it's base, pop the base back in, run the wires across the back of the drum kit and plug them in. If I hadn't found instructions at [...] it would have been very difficult - as it is, it took me about a half hour to replace the pad.
Do NOT but if you actually want a PAD May 19, 2012
By David Rivera When I ordered this replacement red drum pad for my kit, I actually expected a replacement red drum pad for my kit. Instead, all that came was the replacement drum pad cover. Nowhere on the page did I see "only the cover is given" so I was led to buy a product that I didn't need. To the buyers wanting a red drum pad replacement, buy the green pads and use your old pad cover. Yes you'll need to splice the wires in order to get the proper length but it's easy.
(Slightly) easy replacement Dec 27, 2011
By Al Coholic For those that have the game, you know that sometimes the drummer will get a little carried away and hit the pad a little too hard. That happened to us during a long session.
Got the replacement and it was easy to replace. Once replaced, pad worked perfectly. I say it was slightly easy because you will need liquid soap to help pop in the rubber tabs. Once that was done though, no issues.
