You can get more for less elsewhere Oct 10, 2010
By NLee the Engineer This "DSi Media Kit" contains a Kingston 2GB SD memory card, plus a generic USB card reader. But before you get this or any other similar kits, please consider the following facts:
1. You don't really need a SD card to play the Nintendo DSi or DSi XL. The DSi comes with 256MB internal memory, of which about 128MB can be used for photo files and downloaded DSiWare programs. The external memory card is only necessary when: - You want to backup photos files from your DSi to your computer, or - You want to play music files on you DSi, or - You downloaded too many DSiWare programs, and need to off-load some to make room for system memory.
2. There are no special requirements for the external memory card. Any regular SD or SDHC card can be used, regardless of its capacity and speed rating. Note that the photo files of DSi are very tiny (typically under 100KB) so even a 2GB SD card can store something like 20,000 photos. Also you'll not see any speed difference whether you're using the slowest 'class-2' SD card, or the fastest 'class-10' card.
3. The USB card reader included here is of very poor quality (see my review on "10-in-1 USB 2.0 High Speed Memory Card Reader" for details). Fortunately, most computers and laptops already come with integrated SD card reader. So you don't really need to buy a separate USB SD-card reader.
Knowing the above, you'll see that this so-called "DSi media kit" is really nothing special. For about half the price, you can buy a similar memory card (such as the Kingston 2 GB SD Card or SanDisk 2 GB SD card). Or you can pay similar price and get a 4-8GB card instead. It will work equally well in your DSi.

Very nifty USB connector Dec 22, 2010
By Dr. House I'm in love with this little doo-dad. It works well, doesn't take up space and allows me to effortlessly get my songs from my computer onto my DSi. I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever.
great for music-MP3, movies Mar 21, 2012
By AnnaTritt Got one for my nephew a while ago and it was so good that I bought Nintendo DSlite to all the 6 kids and with this I uploaded 30-60 games, music. In one alone I've got that and I bought too many thinking it didn't fit much stuff, but it was a mistake. it fits a lot of stuff in one 2GB alone. Awesome!

I bought this for my son and it worked great. It also came in handy when I needed to transfer pictures onto a blank memory card for my father's digital photo frame that we got for him for Christmas this year. It was so easy to use and I'm so glad we had it or else it would've taken me forever to transfer photos.

Highly recommended if you want to transfer pictures from your DSi to your computer. My 7 year old figured out how to do this on his own!
