This tool works perfectly. It takes no effort to get the screws out of your Xbox 360 controller. Before trying to pull apart make sure you get the screw under the bar code that is behind the battery pack (when in). It is fairly easy to get the bar code out an after that you get the screw out and it comes apart with ease. Good tool, and great for the price.

I purchased this nifty little tool because my favorite XBox 360 controller got accidentally damaged. The left shoulder button ("bumper") started working only intermittently, and no longer made the soft "click" when pressed. I had resigned myself to having to save up $60 for a new controller, when I found this. It was inexpensive enough that I decided to try my hand at trying to fix the controller myself, before investing in a new controller.
The screwdriver is the perfect size to use easily. It feels very light, hardly any weight to it at all, so I had some doubts at first. However, it really doesn't need to be any heavier. It did exactly what it was supposed to do -- easily remove the screws from the back of the controller so I could open it and look inside.
It turned out that the plastic button had apparently shifted a little, and was no longer making proper contact with the switch inside. An easy enough fix. I reseated the button, used this little guy to put the screws back in, and voila! No having to spend $60 for a new controller!
This little screwdriver was well worth the few dollars I spent on it.

This tool works perfecto man, i bought another one that they got on here and man, although it {works well}, the handle is smooth so there you go, slippy slippy if you don't have a tight grip, but this one is the real deal man, at $5.99 you can't go wrong, the other one was $4.99, this tool fits the screws properly and has a firm grip handle, the tip seems to be tempered also, so it won't wring out on you, although the screws in the controller are'nt that hard to turn, get this if you're serious about your control's health like me, and want to open them from time to time to clean and get that gunk out from around the edges, and make sure everything's running proper. P.S as the other reviewer says, "don't forget the screw under the barcode after removing the battery pack, there's seven {7} screws to remove in all. Freshtex!

bought this item to help dissemble my Xbox 360 controllers in order to paint them and i couldn't have asked for a better product.
